Many online casinos try to win customers with the promise of glamour and riches wrapped up in some Las Vegas pretence. Virgin Casino started out being a little different, preferring initially to concentrate on the playful side of gambling.
Our solution was to show a silly interpretation of casino lingo, such as ‘stand’, ‘spin’, ‘all in’ and ‘double down’.
Perrier-nominated comic ensemble ‘Dutch Elm Conservatoire’ acted out a series of reactions that were triggered when audiences interacted with the ad.
A simple, but endearing act that brings a sense of playfulness to Virgin Casino in an otherwise cliché-ridden category.

Virgin Bets were branching out away from the more generic mainstream sports betting into other areas of entertainment, and in 2007 Big Brother 8’s eviction process made for an intriguing betting subject.
The turnaround times for these ads were also entertaining with Eviction nominees being announced on Wednesday evenings.
The idea was signed off on Thursday mornings. We shot a weekly ad on Thursday afternoons, trafficking it on the Friday ready for the show.
Allowing audiences this amount of interactivity just when they wanted it, during evictions, meant Virgin Bets stole a march on the usual crap betting ads splurged over the internet.
